Today’s hairstyles have taken on a variety of different forms and head wraps are a big part of that. Not long ago the most popular form of head wrapping was a simple band, which wrapped around the back of the head over the eyes and then tied in back. This style was favored mainly because it didn’t need much effort to put on and it left little to the imagination. One of the most popular types of head wrapping is called the ponytail. In this style the hair is wrapped about the head with a few inches from the scalp and then pinned up into a bun. There are plenty of different looks and variations to choose from but they all basically involve attaching elastic bands to the hair at the roots to form a pony tail.
Another style which is quite popular today is what is known as the bun. This is usually a loose hairdo with plenty of room at the crown to allow for plenty of growth. The elastic bands are often used to tie the hair into a ponytail and then the rest of the hair is knotted into a bun which is styled and pinned up into a style of our choice.
